Eco Collective

As the Creative Designer for Eco Collective, I led the comprehensive rebrand of their wellness product line, aligning with the company’s evolving values of bringing energy and fun into wellness routines. Under the guidance of Creative Director Genevieve Fisher, I developed a brand identity that combined retro, expressive typefaces, bright colors, and funky illustrations to help Eco Collective stand out from other sustainable brands. To emphasize the brand’s commitment to the earth, we incorporated imagery of plants and natural ingredients, balancing vibrancy with an authentic connection to sustainability. Working closely with copywriter Athena Scott and product photographer Adrienne Rosado, our team refreshed Eco Collective’s digital presence on their website and social platforms, while also revitalizing the physical identity through promotional materials and product packaging.

For one holiday sale, upper management sought a cost-effective way to enhance the appearance of existing products already packaged in basic recyclable materials. Instead of replacing inventory, I devised a flexible sticker system that worked across various product sizes, allowing us to update packaging affordably and sustainably without compromising visual appeal.

A significant challenge in designing packaging for Eco Collective was achieving fully sustainable, compostable packaging. I conducted extensive research into cosmetic manufacturing options and discovered that custom compostable packaging within a small business budget was nearly impossible. Ultimately, we sourced custom compostable paper tubes for certain products and opted for recyclable glass jars for others, aligning our packaging choices with Eco Collective’s sustainability goals as closely as possible.
